Located in the former Ann Sather’s building at 929 W.Belmont, steps from the Belmont CTA, ComedySportz returns to the Lakeview neighborhood after an absence of almost 2 years. The new 149-seat, state-of-the-art theatre includes cabaret-style seating, new sound and lighting systems, LCD screens and a full service bar in the lobby. This is the first time in their 20 year history that a space has been specifically designed for the ComedySportz main stage show.
The "ComedySportz" main stage show is very similar to the television program "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" and has been making Chicago audiences laugh for over 20 years! ComedySportz is hilarious improv comedy that is appropriate for all ages and performed 6 times a week, Thursday through Saturday, and is great for groups celebrating events, families and dates. The ComedySportz Theatre also offers a Late Night Series of shows at midnight on Friday and Saturday, with lower ticket prices, specialty drinks, and humor appropriate for more mature audiences.
