Nighttime skaters to the ice at Millennium Park's ice skating rink in Grant Park.

Millennium Park Skating Rink Opens

Always free and open to the public, Millennium Park's McCormick Tribune Ice Rink is entering its ninth season and draws over 100,000 skaters annually. Bring skates or rent a pair onsite for $10 to experience one of Chicago's most beloved and fun winter traditions. The rink will be open daily, weather permitting, from Nov 20 - March 14.

The Magnificent Mile Lights Festival

The Magnificent Mile Lights Festival kicks off the holiday season this Saturday, from 10 am - 7 pm, with free musical performances and family activities at various Michigan Avenue attractions. Parade Grand Marshal Mickey Mouse and local marching bands will help illuminate nearly one million lights along the tree-lined Magnificent Mile at 6 pm.

Join in the fun when the City of Chicago launches the holiday season with the annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony with special guests including host, Chicago’s own Bonnie Hunt, on Wednesday, November 25 at 4pm in Daley Plaza.
